Re: Bo is home but not happy with crate

Have patience and be firm. Continue to put him in his crate and when you do, give him something to chew on to relax him. Raw bones, a filled kong, etc. will do wonders to keep him occupied. Don't let his jumping and barking make you let him out before he has settled down and accepted the crate. It will just take time, but he will come around to it. Be sure to leave the room when he is in the crate, he needs to know that no matter where you go, you will always come back to let him out. I also suggest that you go places when he is in the crate, leave the house entirely. Don't let separation anxiety start to happen by always being in his sight, that is not a fun situation for a dog to go through either. He needs to learn to live by himself at times.

As for the potty situation, the same goes, he will come around and will get used to where you are taking him. He will eventually have to go so don't give in to him on that either.

Patience!
