Dear Amy and Bob,

I could not reply yesterday, so touched and broken up by Bob's tribute and Sheba's premature passing. Whoever does not believe that there's a rottie smile (grin), hasn't experienced that nonverbal expression of mutual love and trust. That was what my husband Randy was missing so deeply when we lost Sammy to hemolytic anemia and Thor to cancer.

You now need to try to focus on and help C-zar. We found our other dog Sienna (chocolate lab spayed female- also adopted) was very depressed when Sammy (adopted before her- rottie GSD mix) and Thor (adopted after Sammy died- pure rottie) died. She seemed bewildered, and I found part of my therapy-attempt at recovery was to hug her lots and talk with her.

Nothing can replace your loss of Sheba. I understand that you feel angry about her being struck down by that horrible disease at such a young age. Please remember that you both and your vet and Morgan did all that you could and that you have left a tribute to Sheba that moved us all. Linda
