Re: Video: The True Character of the Rottweiler

Sorry Jenna, but I don't think anyone could understand the breed until they have actually invested their time into getting to know the breed. I loved the breed before I owned one, only because family and friends had them, although, I am afraid to say that if I didn't socialize myself with the breed before owning one I am not sure if I would have chose this particular breed for myself. Now, I have owned one and would never question their loyalty and love for their owners. Dakota is more of a person than she is a dog and I would have never understood this about the breed if I didn't choose to own one. Even when I socialized with my friends and families rotties, I really didn't know how human this breed really is. Dakota understands our commands. She knows how we feel and she responds to us in a way that even friends can't. I love my girl and I wish I had more time with her, but at the young age of four years old, she has been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Day by day I thank God for her being here and I sometimes wonder if she was a different breed of dog, would this be so hard to cope with.
