And, as well as pedigrees, look at the individual dogs. I have seen litters from both of these countries (as well as the US) that have produced very different dogs in the same litter, some of which conform to the breed standard, others that don't.

I don't think you can generalize between these two countries and say which one produces the dogs that best conform to the breed standard. There is a lot more to it than that.

If you are contemplating the purchase of a puppy from either of these countries, then you need to do your research on the sire and dam and grandparents of each. Look at pictures of them, look at the other offspring they have produced and study their pedigrees for several generations back to see which pedigree has produced what you are looking for in a dog.
