Even in Germany for many years only hips were being done. One of the major reason we have so many elbow problems is because it was ignorned for so long. Now alot of countries including the US are caughting on and screening for all possible problems. Still, you will hear time and again that eastern block countries do not do the screening that Germany and the US does. I had one German breeder tell me and I do quote "The breed anything over there...worse than the US" so don't be offend we aren't perfect either. |
