I also have a question, can a heat stroke result in causing mild siezures in a dog later? Are they also more prone to heat stroke later?
I have a very large mixed breed rescue. He occasionally (maybe once or twice a year)has a mild siezure. The vet has checked him out and can find nothing, which is not unusual. He gets wobbly in his front legs and lies down. Also has a "far away" look in his eyes. The interesting thing is that I've only seen this happen in hot weather. No, I don't exercise him in the heat. If we walk in the summer, it's very early morning or late evening and our house and yard are both shaded. |
