There is nothing wrong with him not barking. He is still just a puppy.
Our boy Kaleb is 8 1/2 months old and he rarely barks. The only time he barks is if he is trying to get the other dogs to play or if he is given the bark command. I LOVE that he doesn't bark all the time since it can get VERY annoying
