The other thing you might want to consider is this - at some point in her life, there may be a reason for her to be crated. Things like overnight stays at the vet, traveling, etc.
My dog trusts me and I trust him to display the behaviour that he has shown me and I don't think that he will ever be left loose in the house when I am not home or at night.
