Re: Puppy's weight??

A solid, top quality, well balanced diet is very crucial for the pup and obviously for the remainder of their years of life. Rott pups should average as a baseline 10 pounds per month. I have had pups at 8 weeks hitting the 20# mark and now at 7.5 months he is at 92# and very lean. Genetics dictate as well as diet. Some pups are just very slow growers, looking gangly up to and through the age of 2. Some bloodlines are just that way. I have seen dogs at 2 that I did not recognize at 4...they matured incredibly. Don't use weights based on what others say, look at YOUR puppy at decide. If you question the weight, sure...ask people, but better still, take a stool sample to the vet and check for worms. Have your pup checked for parasites.
