We had to send Baron to the Bridge on June 13, 1999. That night after I had gone to bed, I heard him bump the bedroom door open (like he always did) and come to the side of the bed where he slept every night, lay down and let out a big sigh, just like he did every night. It was so real I even put my hand down over the side of the bed to pet him good night, like I always did. He wasn't there of course but he was, if you know what I mean. Also, in the last 7 years I have seen him in the house twice and my husband has seen him once. We have a 10lb black cat and a 98lb rottie and each time they were both accounted for, so it was not either one of them that we saw. Each time I just say that Baron is just checking in to make sure everything is fine! I still cry over that boy, he was my heart dog!!
