WOW....this one really touches home and tugs on the heartstrings. After we helped Sasha cross the bridge in Feb (lymphoma
) I came home and just laid in the floor with my 2 boys (also rotties) and cried. It was really difficult. Both of the boys were laying in front of me and I had my back to the sofa...and I could actually feel panting and breathing behind me. I even reached back out of habit...and then I realized she wasn't there. Very eerie...
I've always thought that it was her letting me know that she is okay...you see, she was always the one that comforted me when I would have tears...she would just come up to me and lay down right in my lap and just kiss me and nuzzle. She was my girlie all right! And she's still my girlie...I believe she sent me a new little one to love and take care of...a 5 m/o little rescue (Deja Vu) that just joined our family this past weekend.
Crazy
...many have called me...but I do believe that our beloved fur babies are waiting for us at the bridge...and they do what they can as rottie angels to help us cope with the pain of losing them.
