I've always received "messages from beyond" from my dogs. I see rainbows, usually right after one of mine have been put down, and living in the desert rainbows are hard to see most of the time.

The strongest message I have received just after letting go a dog wasn't from one of mine, but a good friend's Min Pin. Buddy decided months earlier that I was his best friend, he bit most people. The day when it was it time to let him go (he was about 14 years old and had cancer) I drove him to the vet and met my friend there. When he was gone I was driving home, the windows were up in the car, and whole car was filled with the scent of flowers. I have never experienced anything like that before. I took it as a sign that Buddy was ok and he was saying thanks for the gift of setting him free from his worldly bonds. I told my friend the next day and she agreed that he was just saying "good-bye and thanks for the love". The area I was driving through is kind of a seedy part of town so there were no flowers growing along the street so that is no explanation to the wonderful scent in my car.
