For puppies.......I've found that a firm "eh eh" with a penny can work wonders, then redirect. Some puppies that are sensitive, shy i would'nt recommend the penny can.
Redirection works best, and for puppies that don't get it, simply put them in timeout, for the continuing nipping. It may take awhile for some but they eventually get it. ONLY NICE PUPPIES get to play and hang out with me.
The spray bottle does work if used properly, but with older dogs, and depending on what behaviour your correcting......
also changing up the types of fluids......you use. SOME dogs love water, some hate it...... some like bitter apple..... others don't like it.
Separation......is the best method of discipline......the one thing your puppy or dog hates more than anything is to left out of fun.
