| gastroenteritis and mild pancreatitis
Zeiss just spent three days at the emergency vet for a sudden onset of gastroenteritis and possible mild pancreatitis. His daily food before this illness was Canadiae. I gave no rawhides, he had only small training treats that had no preservatives or I gave him fresh cooked meat as a treat (chicken, steak). Only other food I gave him was all natural organic peanut butter used when I needed to give him his heartworm pill.
Right now he is supposed to eat small amounts of W/D can food for three days. I would like to know what foods others are feeding that may have had experience with these conditions. I thought he was doing good on Canadiae but Im wondering if I should consider another food.
Im going to take my food options into my vet, just wanted help with narrowing down the choices. We have a follow up appointment this Saturday so I want to take a list of foods and the info on the foods to the vet. |
