As far as males go - I am waiting till atleast a year and a half to neuter Brew, maybe longer... It depends what avenue I decided to do with him in dog sports. If we choose schutzhund then I may keep him intact to ensure his drive stays. But if I had a female I would definitely spay after the first heat unless of course she was a conformation dog. Too many health risks involved with keeping a bitch "whole". |
