| Re: Seiger show vs Sanction show A USRC show is sanctioned only by the USRC. Truly, it means nothing outside of the USRC. The AIRK show that you attended is pretty much the same thing as what you'll find at any USRC show. The format is the same. The USRC does have the ability to use ADRK judges, other than that, they are no different than any of the independant organizations, in terms of how their shows are run.
For winning Sieger, the USRC does require that your dog have a SchH title and a BST. In order to earn the BST, your dog must be registered with the USRC and you must be a current member.
That said, many consider the Select Adult awards at USRC shows to be the "bigger" award because you actually compete against dogs (those of the Open, CH and working class). Often, dogs who have won Sieger/in have won by default b/c no other dogs were qualified (not much of a "beauty" win, if you ask me).
Go, enjoy, have fun.
USRC and Sieger shows have nothing to do with becoming a CH. Their titles are not recognized outside the club, not recognized by the ADRK, etc.
CH is earned in the AKC venue. This title is recognized in other countries. The dog must defeat other dogs, including twice at large shows (majors).
