AKC will issue Limited Registration papers no matter if the dog is spayed, neutered or not. Limited Registration simply prohibits any offspring of the dog to be eligible for registration.
If I were you and if you wanted to see if the bite would correct (we have had overbites correct as late at 20 months of age) I would simply ask your breeder for the Limited Registration papers (there should be no question of them issuing the Limited Registration papers) and wait to see what happens. If she is truly a show potential pup in all other respects, it is worth the wait.
