| Re: Expecting and Working....Yes or No??? I second the part about not starting herding. Herding is a very active sport for the new dog vs novice obedience. If the dog was very experienced in herding, then go for it, but I wouldn't risk a pregnant bitch for an instinct test.
I have laid a passing TD track for a 6+ week pregnant aussie bitch who whelped 7 healthy pups. I think if the bitch was any more pregnant then the judges would have not allowed her to do the track.
Regular obedience and rally are not that taxing on the body and are fairly safe activities.
