I would say however that any 'new' sports should not be introduced during this time. This should be considered a maintenance time and not a time of change. i.e. introducing a bitch to herding during this time would not be recommended.
I believe the general rule of thumb is whatever she was doing before on a regular basis is okay after (up to 6 weeks).
