| Re: Advice needed I have a neutered male rescue Cocker Spaniel. At age 9 and again at 11.5, he slept by the crates of each of my two girls when they first came home. They are now ages 4 and 1.5.
I've never had a problem with them getting along. But I'm watchful and guide their actions. If ever I felt things were getting too rough, I let them know. They are ALL obedience trained.
I find training, and not just bringing a dog home and letting them grow up, is paramount. Strange to say it, but I've known some who seem to think otherwise. Rottweilers are intellegent and thrive in a learning home. Buy a well bred, well temperamented animal from a reputable breeder, or get a recommended rescue. Just plan on teaching.
