Cool Re: Calming down the monster in your puppy 101

IT WORKED!!! I did like you said and gently stoked him from head to toe. He liked it and everything but as always at play , he wanted to bite at my fingers evertime my hand went up toward his neck. I let this happen a time or two so he could calm down while I stroked him . Then I cupped his muzzle and held his collar at the same time until he whimperd, then I let go , he was wanting to GO , so I told him to sit, he sat, looked at me and waited a few sec. and then layed down on the floor. I continued stoking him ( after I gave him back his toy) and he tried it again , we went through the same process again and this time I can now put my hand any where on his mouth and he just looks at me as if to say OK mom I get it no bite means you to. I can now pet my baby at any time and love on him with out him wanting to use me as a chew toy! I wish I knew this 2 mopnths ago. Thanks ! It is a good feeling to be able to lay around and pet him and kiss him and there is no snapping or biting!!! Yes, I have kept testing and he still has totally given in. Thank you for sharing. I have tried everything and it would work for a short time but this did it for sure!
