| THERE IS HELP! I just finally this week got Cain's ear problem relief. I also trusted my regular vet to diagnose, I heard ear mites, the medicine didn't help. He has had this problem since March of this year. I took him to ANOTHER vet, who correctly diagnosed the yeast infection, but not treating this type of problem regularly, didn't know the proper treatment. I looked in my yellow pages and found a "doctor referral clinic" and made an appointment. On the first visit, BINGO, a diagnosis. They flushed his ears (felt good, I know) and prescribed a steriod (it looks like "audnisone" and Lotrimin for ear drops twice a day. CAIN'S PAIN WAS GONE IN THREE DAYS! I took him back yesterday for his two week checkup, and we are putting him on a diet with limited protein source to check for food allergy. We'll go from there. Please, please see if you have a allergy veterinarian in your area, your little buddy will thank you profusely. One little note, Cain had to be muzzled for his protection at the vet, please be sure you do this for him, AND the vet. Cain lost it when they were looking in his ears because they hurt so much. The muzzle can be kind if you go get your own and make sure it fits him properly. Also, be prepared for his behavior. He'll be scared and angry. THIS REALLY WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
