I'd like to remind all of you that all pups are not going to weigh the same amounts at the same ages. Size is determined first by genetics and then the boys will weigh more than the girls at the same age (normally). The amount of bone and body structure that your dog has determines its weight at any given time.

Do not think you need to overfeed your puppy (which can result in hip problems as they mature) just because someone else's pup weighs more at this age of their lives.

The pup should have a waist, and you should be able to feel its ribs when you place light pressure on his/her sides.

Be careful, do not overfeed them thinking it will make them bigger in the long run. Genetics don't work that way.

Have fun with all your pups!
