Houston, TX/ Georgia?? That's a big area!! Where in Georgia are you looking to live?? My husband's in the military so we move alot, and we have 3 Rotties. We currently live in Columbus, GA. I find that when we are looking for a new place it seems to help when we tell the rental agents that the dogs are show dogs (not all of them), they are highly obedience trained, compete in obedience and have their CGC's. You usually have to explain what the CGC is. If your dogs are not already OB trained now would be the time to do it. Also, we stress that the dogs are crated/ kennelled when we are not home; they are never left unsupervised. And we have a very high liability insurance policy b/c of the dogs. It may also help to take one of the dogs into the rental agency - with their permission, of course.

Also, if they do not allow dogs at all or over a certain weight ask the agent to ask the owner of the property for consideration. That's what we did for the house we are in now b/c they didn't allow animals at all. Be prepared to pay high, non-refundable deposits plus pet rent per month. We usually pay $400-600 in non-refundable deposits each time we move. We're moving to the Virginia Beach area next year so I have already started looking there. It takes alot of time to find a place that will accept Rotties, espcecially multiple Rotties, so start looking now.
