| Louis. As we sat on the floor and waited for the sedative to take effect, my sister told our favorite story about,Phil and my boy, Louis.(our French bulldog) We had not had him long, he was still a pup, and we were all gathered at my sisters for a cook-out. We were sitting around talking, and my brother had brought his new girlfriend to meet us all. She is a French Professor, we were talking about Louis and how he just did not seem to "get" what we said to him, "is he just a bit dim" we wondered? Then, the Professor called out across the yard, to a busy, distracted pup, named Louis. She said to him in french, "little man!", Louis stopped in his tracks, his head came up, he turned and looked at her. "Come here to me" she called in french. He boinged across the yard to her, a huge grin on his face, sat in front of her, and seemed to say, "thank goodness! Someone I can UNDERSTAND!!!!!"
Godspeed little man, surly there will be someone to greet you at the bridge, whom you can understand.
