Thank you for your kind words everyone.
I just had another big cry, putting "her" dish in the dishwasher for the last time. (I couldn't stand to see it sitting there empty, but somehow it felt wrong to wash it too.  )
I was thinking about all the other "lasts" too....especially that last kiss on her velvety nose.
