By what I have read (I was not at the show) I don’t think the judge was being a jerk. He was following the rules set forth by the FCI per the ADRK. I was not aware of this when I wrote my original response. I understand that the ADRK is the card holder and in order for their judges to continue to judge they must follow the FCI rules.

The problem lays with the USRC rules, not the judge. The USRC is aware of the rule differences and how the ADRK and FCI judges have to judge. The rules should be changed accordingly. It was explained in the post from Gretchen that recommendations should be forwarded to the USRC Show Committee. I think everyone that has responded to this topic should send in their recommendation for the rule change. I think the rating system should also be addressed.

It’s tragic that this had to happen to Francis and Duncan. I certainly would be livid about the whole situation, but now I understand why it all happened – rules that don’t coincide
