My eight year old rottweiler has had this bluish cloudy tinge to his eyes for a while- more then a year. Earlier this year I took him to a canine eye doctor for a complete checkup (he is neutered and never bred, but think it is important to have a through checkup in old age that CERF exams might miss). I did ask about the cloudy-bluish tinge and she told me that it was nothing to worry about. It was a sign of old age and has no connection to cataracts.
As always, if you are concerned, make an appointment with your vet. For my dog with the specalist the complete exam cost me about $80. Well worth my piece of mind.
