I use a specifically designed seat belt for my small dog.....
http://www.canineauto.com the larger dogs go into crates. Also, be careful if your dog is sitting in the front seat even with a belt if you have air bags!!
Depending on how you dog sits the air bag, if it were to go off may cause injury.
