I have been told that "sweet lyme" can be purchased at your local feed store and I am told it is very safe for the Dogs and totally takes away the smell. I think you do need to keep the Dog's off of it for a few hours. I was told this by a Rescue person with many years experience with Dogs, I have not tried it yet but am checking it out this week.
