Keep in mind that when he is all worked up is not the time to be rubbing his belly. That should only take place when he is calm and relaxed. Cuddling is not particularly a dog thing either. Not sure what you consider cuddling, but if he thinks you are starting a game or wrestling then, yes, he is going to be using his mouth as that is his option for such things.
Instead, teach him a fetch game and do something useful with him like practicing puppy sit ups and fast sits and ball. Those are things that will engage a pup, not cuddles. |
