Try a piece of apple or watermelon...something she has never had (preferably round so that it rolls).

No she just takes it to a place so she can drop it and smell it. If it appeals to her she scarfs it - if not she leaves it on the floor for her humans to pick up. She wont even play with a lemon or an orange - but she will eat plastic...go figure
