Re: Itchy dew claw scars

THis is just to post about prognosis about this problem, in case anyone ever tries to search for this in the future. I had these recommended by a local german homeopathic registered nutritionist, and my friend that's in school for naturopathic medicine.

I was told to stick with supplements geared for boosting the body's ability to repair itself and promote cell regeneration.

I've been giving ester-c (instead of regular vit-c) because its more soluble, and less acidic. Started low, with only 600mg/day, and upped to 1200mg after a week or so. THis boosts the body's immume system, and ability to repair itself. Also is known to aid in tissue repair, i.e. joints, skin, arteries.....

I've been giving Vit-e capsules topically. 2x / day. (I do not think it is wise for anyone to be supplementing Vit-e via ingestion. Recent studies show that it can have adverse affects on those already with a heart condition. A/O's and polyunsat's can be obtained from better and alternate sources IMHO.)

I give Traumeel 2-3x /day orally (10-15 drops). This is high in echinacea, another body immune booster. This is a natural antibiotic, that is completely safe, and its benefits lies in taking less more often, than say only a single high dose per day. I will give this till the bottle is gone.

It's been a few weeks, and I notice he doesn't chew as much. When I forget to give it, he'll start again. I have also been suiting his paws up with his new Neo-Paws booties, to help keep the harsh salts off his pads and dew claw scars.

Salicic acid is yet another enhancement for the immune system, that also promotes cell regeneration and elasticity in arteries. I plan to have him on this after the Traumeel is gone, and as I move closer to feeding a raw diet to help with his heart condition.
