Best thing is to get in to some obedience classes with her. She sounds absolutely lovely and will probably surprise you with her intellegence and willingness to learn.
Then stick around and learn more about the breed. Dogs who are well raised don't reach a certain age then suddenly turn aggressive. Why would they?
