| Re: She snaps at men after she lets them pet her I also want to add that JudiW's advice really saved me a lot of grief because she helped me to understand what was going on with Heidi. I was able to understand that my dog is not a freak dog that needs to be put down, that is unreasonably dangerous, and a menace to society (I was pretty upset at first). I learned that Heidi was having some issues with my authority, and I believe she, at first anyway, thought that maybe I wasn't doing my job defending against the big bad men, so she should step in and take charge in that department. I started doing some more intensive training with her, and have gotten her to the point where I can take her out in public without her hackling up at the sight of a man, but know she will never be at the point where just anyone can get close to her.
