| spring fever for classes! I'm getting so anxious for classes to start. my choices are the dog obedience club classes and the private trainer who holds classes. Hilda has been to both. the beginning obedience with the club was great for socialization, but geared more toward the average dog owner having a well behaved dog rather than obedience titles. both groups have agility classes and beginning obedience, but only the private trainer continues with intermediate and advanced obedience and all her classes are with competition in mind. there was a big shakeup in the obedience club, new officers and a revision of their goals, including regular CGC classes and more long term goals for the classes, so maybe it will be different.
I would love it if John would take one of the dogs to class, but I don't think that will happen. depending on what classes they offer which night, I may have to enroll boris in the obedience club classes and hilda in the private group. If I can get both dogs in class the same night, (beginning ob. at 6:30, advanced at 7:30) one will have to wait in the car for their turn. I wonder if that will get them too excited to settle down to work in class? Hilda will be waiting for boris to finish class. Classes were supposed to start in Feb, but they bumped them till March...both groups. All the dog classes share the same outdoor fenced field, and it is in use almost every night. |
