I can report from my own experience that Kimbertal broke my heart. About two years ago my mother was on a business trip to Philadelphia and I was asked to go with. I had seen so many ads for Kimbertal that it seemed liked the Disney Land of Dogs and I wanted to check out this "Top Kennel".
Have you ever seen the look in a dog's eye that begs you to take him home? Now imagine this, seeing that look in about 15 puppies eyes who are in a pen with paper scraps below them. Granted, they didn't have the wires and pooh to your knees image we think of when we are speakingof a puppymill, but it is far from the place that I had imagined. I personally know an absolutely wonderful older gentleman who purchased a Doberman from them. Where is his dog today? Dead! Why? The dog has severe nerve damage. He did receive a replacement dog and that's a story that I don't have enough time to write about.
I have to say, I am new here..but this thread certainly has given me a sense of real community. It's also nice to see so many opinions. However, it is sad to see that it's a subject that doesn't bring much joy.
