| I am confused. Yes, I believe my breeder has import bitches. I don't, however think my pups mom is imported. I see from the pedigree that both sets of grandparents are indeed imported. I did a lot of research before I chose my breeder. I chose her because of their love for the breed. Her litters were among some of the prettiest I've seen. I guess like Diane says, I should not put my trust in what the AKC pedigrees print up. I will try and the sites she recommended.
What I got from my breeder was that she was very into Schutzhund. She educated me in that area completely. I had a very bad view of Schutzhund until I spoke with her and my trainer. I don't believe her to be heavy into showing. Although I can't say that she hasn't been in the ring. I know my pup is of good quality. Because if you saw her you would understand.
I got a bit of a scare when my pup had trouble getting up after a long play session at the dog run. It turned out to be a pulled inner thigh muscle. I ran her way to much for one day. I do have to apologize to my breeder for jumping the gun on HD. It is so rampid in this breed it is almost impossible not to.
I do trust my breeder. She was extremely upset and concerned when I called her about my pups hips. She was very helpful and informative and has always helped me out when I needed it. It is just very frustrating when you don't know how to read a pedigree. Thank everyone for your help.  |
