if she is scheduled on thursday, and drop off is in the am(like at my job), remember, do not feed after midnight the night before, when you drop off, talk to the vet, ask any questions you might have.most clinics now a days do pre op blood work and put them on fluids during surgery and they do just fine.
when in heat, some bitches also get a bit picky...she is also stressed because nicks not home, and the kennel stress.
usually the heat cycle lasts 21-27 days.starts by swelling, then bleeding, swelling starts to diminish, ready to be bred, then all is over.(average bitch).most are ready somewhere around the 11th to the 16th day from first day they start bleeding...but it varies..just like us!
