It sounds as if you are talking about a breeder who cares enough to have a contract and I am sure they would rather a bitch of their breeding NOT be involved in a singularly inappropriate encounter and resulting litter. Especially since the dog was sold with the understanding that she was not going to be bred anyway. Dan should pick up the phone immediately when he gets home and talk to the breeder and let them know why he wants to spay her a bit earlier than initially agreed upon.
