When we first got Joey I was the one who hung back whilst everyone wanted to inundate the poor new dog. I just kept doing the necessary. Now he is all mine more or less with the novelty all worn off. I get the impression he respects me just a little more and he understands everyone else will take him out if he needs it. I will take him cos I just like to. He loves everyone in the family... plus a couple of regular visitors that he thinks are 'pack' but he holds me in higher esteem. |
