In watching female and male partners interact with the same dog, I often notice that the female is the one who is more animated..has a higher voice..is more playful and the dogs really respond to them more and are more interested in them, then the male of the partnership....in many cases.
It's hard for MOST men to let loose and be silly and playful..raise that voice a few octaves and smile at that puppy. Maybe hubby should try those things..if he isn't already and see if the pup's interest isn't peeked more towards him as well.
