Let me explain you. The new law in Holland is not geared towards TEMPERAMENT testing, but AGGRESSION testing (?!). It is obvious that any good dog, from one of the working breeds stated by the law, may react with aggression or display aggression if PROVOKED to it. In other words, high drives and protective instincts of a true working dog, normally would make it react to a threat by barking aggressively, growling, or may even attempt to bite (like in civil agitation training). So if one of the dog breeds tested, even though it might have the soundest most stable temperament, displays even controlled trained aggression, it is considered DANGEROUS AGGRESSION (?!) Imagine that, the whole idea is to eliminate a dog's working ability, and create just beauty show dogs and plain "toy" type of dogs out of magnificent working breeds! Believe me, sport dogs and protection dogs will be a thing of the past in Holland, once such law is implemented. Pitiful.
