| Re: what makes the rottie different I have never been a "dog person". My folks had a Doberman when I was real little but after it has always been cats and I never had any interest in owning a dog...until I met Bruno, the Rottie who lived across from my new house back in 1984. Bruno planted the seed. He was very well trained and had such nobility. He impressed me like no other dog ever did.
Then I had the honor of knowing Richard the Rottweiler. Again, I was impressed by his character. So much so I set out to learn as much as I could because my dream was to have a Rott of my own.
My mom always says "these dogs are almost human'. And I say "yup, but better!".
