OOh, I was not clear...Whenever Ty (my boyfriends son) puts his face in Elmo's...he gets SEVERLY reprimanded EVERY SINGLE TIME. It is stopping, but Ty is four and it takes constant reminders. I have snatched Ty away from Elmo, put him in time outs and had stern talking too with him. I have even gone as far as putting Elmo away. Ty has never lived with a dog, so this is a learning process for him, I dont live with them, so it takes constant reminders yet when he comes over to my house, how to behave around Elmo. His dad included in all of the conversations. I was stating this more that even though Elmo is reliable, I DO NOT allow it to happen and I DO NOT allow Ty and Elmo to be in the same room together alone, EVER! My BF knows my rules and abides by them and helps to enforce them.

So, my point...I do not allow this with a four year old seasoned therapy dog, so I most certainly would not allow it with a pup! Just iterating that no matter what, dogs and children should NOT be left unsupervised!

Hope that adds to why I posted this to the OP.
