Hi, thankyou for posting this Judy, especially about the new memorial, have not read anything about it in my newspaper. On a sadder side, during WW2 many pets were put to sleep in the UK, due to the shortage of food, also pedigree dogs of many breeds were sent to the States to be fostered for the duration of the war.
