I think the answer to my question lyes with the bredder. On my way to the store tonight I stopped by his house to ask him some more questions about Sarge, the Rotti I purchased from him for $850.00. When I pulled into his driveway my headlights hit him as he was "whipping" the dad to my Rotti. Angered I questioned him about it and he told me that this is the only way to train a Rottweiler. I asked him if he had began "training" the pup I had bought from him....And, yes he had. He offered words of advice as to how to "break the animal" and "how to house train "it" by rubbing it's nose in it's mess and beating it and throwing it outside." I drove home numb. How cold and cruel can we human beings be? As a Nurse I am trained to deal with all different types of people and to not allow things to get to me personally. Trained to talk to individuals to find out what is the underlying cause for anger, hatred and abuse. I lost all sense of ethics and/or morals and became one disgusted man standing beside on disgusting man. I told this piece of crap what I thought of him and with much restraint I did not take the belt from him and whip him to the breaking point. When I got here to the house Sarge was lying in the living room floor and he lookied up at me as I entered the room and then put his head back down, I picked him up, held him very close and weeped. I am a 31 y/o man who doesn't cry very often but I was heart broke over the abuse that my Sarge has probably endured. German thank you for your reply. And let's keep all abused children, human or otherwise, close in our thoughts.
