Re: Feeding Raw?

Well there are many pros to feeding RAW and yes there are some cons as well. Like most things nothing is 100%. I feed RAW and I will tell you that my experience has been very good. I do NOT make my own RAW I spend a great deal of money on the prepared/prepackaged food. If you decide to make your own you will really need to do some research. Balance is the key to feeding RAW. I guess depending on how you look at things these might be draw backs themselves, but the major one of course, is bacteria. I keep Clorox cleanups on my counters and the food as well as the water bowel are disinfected after with any type of antibacterial soap, not with the clorox clean ups. Just any dish soap that is good for antibacterial.

Many people choose to feed a premium food, but for me it's still processed. Check out some of these websites.

I love the last site I buy alot of my food there when I can't find it in stock at my petfood stores here, lucky for me that doesn't happen often.

I use everything here, except for the Necks I personally don't feed necks the bones are too small and my puppy would just gulp them down. Too risky for me. I do give him the big natural bones. Only in the crate because of bacteria. I then clean the crate throughly.

Good luck.

You might want to do a search on toxic pet foods or foods pets die for. You would be amazed what they put in our pet's food.
