Re: Advice/Info about dogs traveling by airplane

Both Max and Luna flew as pups from the breeder on the northwest coast to us on the southeast coast. Delta has an excellent program, "Pets Plus", for pets flying unaccompanied. There is information on their website. It's a flat fee that is charged, depending on the departure and arrival city. Their policy is that live animals are the last to be loaded, and the first to be unloaded, and the holding areas are temperature controlled. They will only fly pets when temperatures in the departure and arrival locations are within a certain range, so keep this in mind. All their requirements and details are on their website, plus they have a special "Pets Plus" number you can call to get all of the details.
