| Another Victim - My 5 Month Old Rescue
I needed a place to chat so please bear with me -
My 5 month old boy crossed over last nite at approximately 4:15pm. My husband and I rescued this little guy at 12 weeks of age from a shelter. He was a wonderful guy in the beginning but things quickly changed. We found out that the shelter which adopted him out to us was told by a reputable Rottie org that he should not have been adopted out and signs of aggression were visible at 9 weeks of age. Long story short his attacks on me were severe. I kept hanging on thinking it was me and that I had failed at our training etc. After a lot of soul searching and talks with expert Rott folks I knew what had to be done. I can only hope that god will forgive me and know that we did the responsible thing for the breed, the pup and society. What if this little guy was adopted out to a family with an infant -those bites on me could have been a babys face! I did alot of crying last nite and must know we did what needed to be done! He was an innocent victim of a backyard breeder.
